John Neumann, PT
John received his physical therapy degree from St. Louis University. He has more than 17 years experience in acute and long term settings. John has developed a broad range of treatment skills, addressing a variety of patient needs. He has particular interest and advanced training with balance disorders, cardiac and general medical concerns and orthopedic diagnoses.
Amanda Oaks, PT, DPT
Amanda graduated from Concordia University-Wisconsin with a doctorate in physical therapy in 2010. She received a bachelor of arts degree in 2007 from Lawrence University with a major in biology and interdisciplinary focus in neuroscience. Amanda also completed a post-doctoral internship and residency program through HealthReach with training in pediatrics and inpatient rehabilitation.
Tammy Zyduk, PTA
Tammy is a 1995 graduate of Milwaukee Area Technical College’s physical therapy assistant program. She provides PT to adults in a variety of settings, with emphasis on geriatrics. Tammy currently treats older adults in their homes, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. She also teaches group exercise classes for seniors who want to keep active. Tammy has worked with her colleagues to create a Falls Prevention Program designed to minimize the risk of falls in the older adult population. She finds it very rewarding to help seniors remain as independent as possible and to improve their quality of life.
Lea Frank, PTA
Lea graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with an associate degree as a physical therapy assistant in 1989. She has a special place in her heart for the elderly; they have taught her many things about life. Lea has many years of experience working with older adults in a variety of settings, including sub-acute rehab, assisted living, nursing homes and in the home environment. She enjoys being actively engaged with her patients and is highly motivated to make a difference in their lives.
Denise Showen, OT
Denise graduated from Mount Mary College in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. Her experience includes geriatric rehabilitation and outpatient therapy. She is a certified Lymphedema therapist, specializing in the treatment of swelling related disorders. Denise has been providing therapy for more than 22 years and enjoys learning from the patients she treats.
Jackie Ewer, OT
Jackie is a 1997 graduate of Mount Mary College in Milwaukee. She is a registered occupational therapist and has been a part of the HealthReach team since 1998. Jackie’s focus has been in the area of geriatric and sub-acute rehab. She treats patients in their homes assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Jackie is bilingual, speaking English and Polish. She has spent time in Europe and values the diverse ethnic backgrounds of her patients.
Christine Schaefer, MS/CCC-SLP
Chris graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a bachelor of science degree in education (1999) and a master of science degree in communicative disorders (2001). Since graduating in 2001, Chris has worked mostly with the adult population. From 2001-2003 she worked at a sub-acute brain injury center with adolescents, young adults, and aging adults who had suffered from motor vehicle accidents, falls, etc. Chris began working with geriatrics in skilled nursing facilities in 2003, as well as individuals with developmental disabilities in other long-term care facilities. She has focused on dysphagia management and treatment of aphasia, apraxia and cognitive deficits in all settings, and has also treated multiple patients with dysarthria leading to articulation and voice disorders. Specific professional interests include cognitive retraining and dysphagia treatment for adults who have suffered from strokes, falls, or functional decline after surgeries. Chris has also been a consultant for evaluating and implementing the use of augmentative/alternative communication devices in individuals with development disabilities. She has experience with inpatient, outpatient, and home service settings.
Andrea Kysely, PTA
Andrea believes that her career as a physical therapist assistant offers her an ideal opportunity to combine her interests in health and exercise with her love of people. After working at a medical clinic and non-profit organization in the computer field, Andrea went back to college to earn her degree as a physical therapist assistant in 2008. She began her career in Milwaukee after receiving her license to practice and particularly enjoys working with individuals with disabilities and older adults. She then joined HealthReach Rehab to continue her passion working with older adults.
Amy Jo Schultz, COTA
Amy is a1986 graduate of the Milwaukee Area Technical College's Occupational Therapy Asstistant Program. She has worked in a variety of settings over the years including Skilled Nursing facilities, individuals's homes, clinics and schools. She has specialized training in fine motor development, handwriting and Sensory Integration. Amy enjoys working with patients of all ages to develop plans together to acheive their personal goals.
