Description
Elbow Bursitis is an inflammation of the bursa of the joint. Arthritis, infection, injury or excessive trauma during exercise or effort may cause bursitis. At times a needle aspiration is necessary to evaluate the fluid in the bursa.

Severe pain or tenderness with motion of elbow or palpation

Limited flexion (bending) of the elbow
What to expect at therapy
A therapist will evaluate your pain, range of motion, muscle strength, senation and ablility to perform activities of daily living. Treatments may include pain control with therapeutic modalities (cold), therapeutic exercises (gentle) to improve joint motion, compression dressing to reduce swelling, and a soft elbow pad.
